Lemon Tart with Almond Crust

Indulge in the zesty delight of this lemon tart with a nutty almond crust. The creamy lemon filling perfectly complements the crunchy texture of the almond base, making it a delectable dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Powdered sugar, for dusting optional

  • Sliced almonds, for garnish optional

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C


In a bowl, mix almond flour, powdered sugar, and salt


Stir in melted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs


Press the almond mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan


Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden


Remove from oven and let cool


In another bowl, whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until well combined


In a saucepan, heat heavy cream until it just begins to simmer


Slowly pour the hot cream into the egg mixture while whisking constantly


Pour the lemon custard mixture into the cooled almond crust


Bake the tart for 20-25 minutes or until the filling is set and the edges are lightly golden


Allow the tart to cool completely before slicing


Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with sliced almonds before serving, if desired

Watch out for them so they don't get burned


Take the pecans out of the oven and let them cool down for a while


Put the roasted pecans in a high-speed blender or food processor


When you blend the pecans on high speed, you may need to scrape down the sides a few times to make a smooth, creamy butter


The time it takes to do this will depend on how strong your blender or food processor is


Once the pecan butter is the consistency you want, store it in a clean jar or other airtight container


You can keep your homemade pecan butter in the fridge for up to two weeks

Best Slow Cooker Roast EVER

Because ranch, Italian dressing, and brown gravy mixes are mixed together, this slow cooker roast is very tender and full of flavor. The flavors come together perfectly because of the slow cooking, making a dish that your whole family will love.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 lbs chuck roast

  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix

  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix

  • 1 packet dry brown gravy mix

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: potatoes and carrots, chopped

Instructions:

Season the chuck roast with salt and pepper on all sides


In a bowl, mix together ranch seasoning mix, Italian dressing mix, and brown gravy mix


Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker


Pour water and beef broth over the roast


Sprinkle the mixed seasoning over the roast


Add minced garlic on top of the roast


Place butter on top of the roast


If desired, add chopped potatoes and carrots around the roast


Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-6 hours, until the roast is tender and easily falls apart


Once cooked, shred the roast with two forks and serve with the vegetables and gravy from the slow cooker
